MR. ZERO

 

Mr. Zero is a kid who was raised by his ‘adopted grandmother’ and has no other living relatives. When she dies he buries her in the flower garden. Because of his slight mental retardation he doesn’t know to contact authorities or anything. Because neither he or his Grandmother had contact with neighbors etc. no one even knows she has died. Mr. Zero takes to wandering around the town and finding food in the Day centers and Salvation Army. He eventually gets ‘adopted’ by Raven who cons him into becoming his ‘son’. Mr. Zero has some innocence or naivity due to his slowness and childlikeness yet it makes him suseptable to do what others want him to do even if he feels bad about it. No one really knows what age he is because he doesn’t know and he never went to school. He continues to live in his grandmother’s house now known as the “Plantation”

He’s also facinated with fire to the point of obsession. Like a child he is not aware of his short comings and he does what he’s told by the other more forceful kids.

 

Mr. Zero dresses in the same clothes everyday except for changing his shirt. He steals shirts from the goodwill and they will have funky prints on them like the Power Rangers or Skippy peanut butter, etc. He hates to tie his shoes and he never did learn to tie them so they are twisted up or left dangling. His hair will be somewhat long and greasy.
